Konecranes emphasis on high safety standards is reflected in the recent certification achieved by internal safety team member Mark J. Muse.
Konecranes Environmental Health and Safety Manager Mark J. Muse, CSP has completed all requirements for a Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) certification. This highly respected certification is awarded by BCSP to individuals who meet eligibility criteria and experience in the safety, health and environmental discipline and have passed an examination. Having achieved a BCSP certification shows that the individual has mastered the core competency for professional safety practice.
Konecranes is a world leader in overhead lifting equipment and services. Muse is part of its Region Americas safety team, overseeing the environmental health & safety program at the Springfield and Franklin Ohio factories. He is a resource on environmental issues for the entire corporation.
Mark Torch, CSP, CET, group safety director for Konecranes says that safety issues have become more complex, and today’s safety professional must continually work to become better qualified. “BCSP credential holders are among the most highly trained, educated and experienced individuals in the safety field,” Torch stated.
A CSP certificate holder must recertify every five years to maintain the credential.
