Tough Cranes for Tough Jobs

Advanced coker cranes execute two jobs

 

The Konecranes twin 27-ton single gantry hoist will eradicate your need for pricy car pullers.  This crane is designed with a traveling hopper built into the gantry; engineered to “hold and carry” a complete load of coke to rail cars, it fills the need for car pullers.  

Steel mill cranes reduce operating and construction costs 

Konecranes hot metal hoists are designed with AC variable-frequency controls, which diminish lag time over DC controls and saves on maintenance.  Your organization can significantly reduce costs of construction by utilizing a single redundant hoist for each key function.

Automation trims coil cooling time

This completely automated hoist was designed by Konecranes as part of a fresh process which accelerates cooling time for coils leaving a hot strip mill.  Typical cooling time averages three days, but this new process permits a cooling time of two hours. 

 

Automated warehousing allows double storage space

Designed for automated paper roll retrieval and storage, our Autostore system can increase available space capacity to two times the normal storage space.
