Konecranes Crane Capacity Applications

We offer various weight ton cranes, each of which is built to meet the needs of your particular industry.

Each crane we engineer and build boasts innovative technology and superior design – from light weight crane systems for use on assembly lines and at workstations to the largest cranes in the world, our cranes perform reliably in various severe duty circumstances.

The smallest of the Konecranes cranes are built for lifting one ton or less.  The biggest standard models are designed for up to 500 tons of weight.  Amid the smallest and largest cranes, Konecranes carries a variety of models for handling any and all applications and load capacities.  Moreover, we construct customized cranes to meet customers’ unique applications, including loads of up to 1,000 tons.

Our products are built on over 80 years of quality and experience – together with advanced technologies like the CXT wire rope hoists and XN chain hoists.  Konecranes is a known world leader in lifting solutions, and as a result, we have the distinct advantage of the widest network of service engineers and support in the world to decrease the downtime and increase the life of our cranes. nbsp; Konecranes’ complete line of cranes includes:

  • Process cranes, the most complex and largest cranes in the industry, Konecranes designed these cranes to maximize process efficiency and productivity in high performance applications – those that necessitate automation, large capacity, continuous duty cycles, high operating speeds, and stressful operating environments. These include cranes that handle steel coils, coker cranes, scrap-handling cranes and hot metal ladle cranes.
  • XM light crane systems are built for lighter lifting capacities of 1-2 tons and smaller, perfect for assembly lines, repair shops, workstations, and jib cranes
  • Port cranes are designed for high-capacity loading and unloading responsibilities onboard ships and in harbors, ports and the offshore industry, along with use in ship building.
  • Industrial cranes built with space-saving design to perform heavy-duty to light lifting with Konecranes’ exclusive CXT wire rope hoists and XN chain hoists

We also specialize in building cranes designed for hazardous environments, for both heavy-duty and light- tasks.  For example, our explosion-proof cranes are commonly used in gas power plants, oil refineries, paint shops, chemical and petrochemical plants, and waste water treatment plants.
