Saving energy and space
SMARTON is a strong, compact crane, allowing new industrial spaces to be smaller than before, lowering heating costs and construction expenses. The operator can put the load down closer to the wall because SMARTON’s structure is compact and provides tight hook approaches.
We developed SMARTON with the environment in mind. We’ve lowered energy costs and consumption by up to a third by feeding braking energy back into the crane’s power grid. Also, it is built with 98% recyclable material. With SMARTON’s modular, compact design, it doesn’t require as many natural resources to produce.
Maintenance friendly
In comparison to the average competing cranes in its class, SMARTON is more maintenance friendly. It is made up of elements that maintenance engineers are used to dealing with. Issues can be fixed quickly with SMARTON’s service panel. SMARTON is built to make inspection time move quickly by displaying the issue as well as its frequency on the service panel. SMARTON analyzes its condition and recommends when as well as what types of preventative maintenance or inspection should be done. Rope Lifetime
A key element in maintenance expenses is the service life of wire ropes used for hoisting. Changing a wire rope is a time-consuming task, and wire ropes are costly. Konecranes has increased the life of wire ropes by customizing the pulley rope angles in the hook housing, making them as small as they can be to reduce the wear and tear on wire ropes. Also, SMARTON can analyze the actual operating condition and predict when you will need to replace the wire ropes.
Foldable Service Platform
The SMARTON service platform protects the trolley components by folding over the trolley. The foldable, pace-saving platform is a brand new patent pending concept. Other products require service points on either side of the trolley, but SMARTON’s service points easily accessible and all on one side.

SMARTON also offers remote monitoring. We offer 24/7 support for your crane, no matter where you’re located.
HIM - Human Interface to Machine
SMARTON’S HIM (Human Interface to Machine) system keeps the operator constantly up to date on the load’ position relative to the available workspace as well as its weight.
HIM makes it simple to comprehend the device’s features, speeding up training for new users. The operator gets information on issues from HIM’s error detection disagnostics when necessary. Also with HIM, the user can program SMARTON’s working cycle, greatly boosting productivity.
